FAQs

Seeking out therapy is an individual choice. Sometimes people come to therapy to help manage long-standing psychological issues or problems, like anxiety, depression, or trauma. Many people seek therapeutic support as they navigate their own mental health journey. Therapy provides a safe space for individuals to explore their lived experiences and develop adequate coping skills to improve their relationships with themselves and others.

A consult with a therapist is a short 15-minute casual conversation to determine whether the client and therapist would be a good fit for each other. Consultations are pretty informal; the therapist will start off with a few questions to get to know you better to determine whether she can competently treat you.
A consultation is NOT a therapy session. Therapeutic work starts after the initial consultation and the client contract has been signed. Please note that Thrive Therapy and Practices services ages 18 and over.

If you are a Thrive Therapy and Practice patient who has insurance from our accepted provider list, then the provider (therapist) will submit the insurance request on behalf of the patient.
If your current insurance is not an accepted insurance provider or you are uninsured it will be the responsibility of the patient to pay for all services and fees associated with each session. You can pay using a debit or credit card (service fees will apply).
